Pitcher Plants

North American pitcher plants are native to the coastal plain of the South East United States.  Their leaves look like flowers and are tube-shaped to lure and trap bugs for fertilizer.   Plant in full sun to part shade.  Use peat moss and perlite in a very large planter.  Keep them very wet.  Or for the lowest maintenance, plant your pitchers in a bog garden.  Cold hardy to 20F in a pot and 0F in the ground.
