Description: This exceptionally vigorous clone of the trumpet pitcher plant grows to about 30 inches tall. It is characterized by yellow-green leaves with red veining in the interior. It exhibits heavy-veined throats and undulating lids.
We purchased this plant from an elderly gentleman many years ago who "had access to land" to sustainably harvest Sarracenia flava in North Carolina.
We make seeds with it and sell divisions so that gardeners can have access to cold hardier Carolina flava without disrupting nature.
Pitcher Plant Care: Plant in full sun to part shade outdoors. Use peat moss and perlite in a very large planter and keep it wet. It loses its leaves in the winter. Cold hardy to 20F in a pot and 0F in the ground.
All plants will ship bare root, without pots and soil.
