Description: Variety alba is a designation reserved for plants that have a little more white in the top than most other S. leucophylla. This particular clone has a significant amount of white in its newly emerged fall leaves. It is best known for its ability to create very white seedlings. It is slow growing, has a yellow flower and grows to about 20 inches tall.
We don't know the history of this plant, but hopefully it wasn't pulled from a nature preserve because that would be super lame. We acquired it from a hobbyist who doesn't know its origins.
Pitcher Plant Care: Plant in full sun to part shade outdoors. Use peat moss and perlite in a very large planter and keep it wet. It loses its leaves in the winter. Cold hardy to 20F in a pot and 0F in the ground.
All plants will ship bare root, without pots and soil.
