Description:. This clone is an exemplary example of the copper top trumpet pitcher plant. We obtained this clone from a gardener who stated that it originally came from Meadowview Biological Research Station.
24" pitchers emerge in the spring with a luscious orange-bronze coloration, maturing to burgundy in the summer. Less numerous and thinner pitchers emerge late season.
This is a very strong-growing plant! It has fat rhizomes and extensive roots. Expect to divide it every few years.
Pitcher Plant Care: Plant pitcher plants in full sun to part shade outdoors. Use peat moss and perlite in a very large planter and keep it wet. It loses its leaves in the winter. Cold hardy to 20F in a pot and 0F in the ground.
All plants will ship bare root, without pots and soil.
