Description: Flytrap King nursery purchased a division of this plant in 2009 and registered it as a new cultivar soon after. It is an exceptionally beautiful, sturdy, colorful plant for your bog garden!
Spring pitchers are approximately 24" tall, 1.5"-2" diameter, bright white with red venation on the top. August pitchers are 20" tall, 2.5" diameter and more rigid. Peristomes mature to red when grown in bright light. Hood columns are narrow, often resulting in the lid touching in the back. Established plants typically produce 2 leaves per growth point in the spring, followed by summer phylodia. In August, plants typically produce two more leaves per growth point.
Pitcher Plant Care: Plant in full sun to part shade outdoors. Use peat moss and perlite in a very large planter and keep it wet. It loses its leaves in the winter. Cold hardy to 20F in a pot and 0F in the ground.
All plants will ship bare root, without pots and soil.
