It is possible that it is an introgressed hybrid of Sarracenia flava and Sarracenia leucophylla. Sarracenia "Johnny Wilkerson" is notable for its outstanding color and proportions.
Slim 20 inch tall red tubes with clean white areoles emerge in spring, followed by Summer phyllodia. Fall is when this plant produces its largest and most colorful pitchers, measuring 24 inches tall with 2 inch mouths.
